These Terms govern your use of the Land & Sync website, courses, and Nuru-Science™ workshops (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1) Who we are

Land & Sync provides education in somatic awareness, touch skills, and massage-adjacent techniques, including the Nuru-Science™ curriculum.

 

2) Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority where you live (or 16+ with written guardian consent where permitted).

 

3) Health, safety, and consent

Our trainings are educational and not a substitute for medical or mental-health care. You are responsible for your own health decisions and for communicating boundaries. Any partner practice requires ongoing, explicit consent, option to pause/stop at any time, and adherence to facilitator instructions and venue policies.

 

4) Assumption of risk & release

Bodywork and movement involve inherent risks (e.g., slips, strains). By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree to use reasonable care. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release us from liability for ordinary negligence related to participation. (We recommend obtaining your own professional advice regarding waivers enforceable in your jurisdiction.)

 

5) Accounts & registration

You must provide accurate information. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activities under your account.

 

6) Payments, cancellations, and refunds

Prices are shown at checkout. Unless stated otherwise on the event page:

• Transfers: You may transfer a ticket to another person with prior written notice.

• Cancellations by you: Refunds follow the policy shown on the specific event page.

• Cancellations by us: If we cancel or materially reschedule, you may receive a refund or credit at our discretion.
  
   

7) Intellectual property & license to students

All course content—including manuals, slides, videos, graphics, and frameworks (e.g., Glide, Slide, Slip; Sync + Sink)—is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law.
Student license: Unless otherwise stated in writing, we grant you a non-transferable, single-user license for personal educational use. You may not copy, share, post, record, or teach our materials publicly or commercially without our written permission.

 

8) Trademarks & certification

Land & Sync™ and Nuru-Science™ are trademarks of Ivy Bitar. Use requires permission. If we offer certification, use of any certification title or badge is subject to a separate written agreement and ongoing compliance.

 

9) User content

If you submit content (e.g., feedback, testimonials), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use it for operating and promoting the Services. You warrant you have rights to what you submit.

 

10) Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) violate laws or others’ rights; (b) attempt to access non-public systems; (c) disrupt or harm the Services; (d) upload malware; (e) harass or abuse participants or staff; or (f) record sessions without explicit permission.

 

11) Third-party services

We may link to or integrate third-party tools (payments, event platforms, video hosting). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services.

 

12) Disclaimers

Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Educational outcomes are not guaranteed.

 

13) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the relevant Service in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

 

14) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.

 

15) DMCA / IP concerns

If you believe material on our site infringes your copyright, contact info@landandsync.com with: (1) your contact info; (2) identification of the work; (3) URL of the allegedly infringing material; (4) a statement of good-faith belief; (5) a statement under penalty of perjury; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.

 

16) Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA / Alameda County, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Exclusive venue: Alameda County. Consumers in the EU may have mandatory rights under local law.

 

17) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
